Phillip is quite comfortable in the garden and coming from a family that has been involved in cut flower sector gave him a good grounding in the plant world. After serving 20 years in the Royal Australian Navy as Seamanship/Training Systems Officer, Phillip returned to the Melbourne, Australia area to work with Anthony Tesselaar International in a variety of roles. He puts his communications and project management skills the gained in the navy to good use ensuring that Tesselaar Plants “delivers what we promise”.
As Operations Director for Anthony Tesselaar International, Phillip has responsibility for the development of the business on four different continents. As a result of his travels around the world meeting breeders, growers and retailers and attending international horticultural events, Phillip will be sharing photos, sneak peeks at the latest garden trends and new product ideas with our Your Easy Garden blog readers.
His years spent working with breeders and growers from around the world on behalf of his job at Tesselaar Plants has increased his own personal passion for gardening. In his limited spare time at home in Australia — when he isn’t on a plane traveling — he enjoys adding new plants to his own garden and introducing his wife and young daughter (and anyone else who will indulge him) to the joys of gardening.
Phillip’s favorite expression is “Garden On Good People!”
